Phones are great for speaking to people, right? Of course they are, that's why they were invented, after all. But sometimes you don't want people to call you, for instance if you're in bed or in a library.
Wouldn't it be great if you could leave your phone on but not have any calls get through?
Well now you can thanks to PhoneTimer. The application allows you to set up your phone to automatically activate and deactivate your GSM connection at a given time.
It's very easy to configure and pretty flexible too.
The interface consists of a list of the seven days of the week, each with a start time and end time for when you want calls to come through.
You can set the precise times for each day manually or, to make things simpler, just click 'Apply Sun Setting' to leave your phone available from 08.
00 to 00. 00 every day.
Unfortunately you can only set one start and finish time per day, so it's not possible to set up different windows of availability throughout a 24-hour period.
This means that you need to go in and do it manually as and when you want the calls to come through.
If you want to ensure you don't get disturbed by phone calls while you're sleeping or relaxing but can never remember to switch your phone off, PhoneTimer is a useful aid.
